Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Authority of the Slovak Republic
The Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Authority of the Slovak Republic is the central body of state administration for geodesy, cartography and real estate cadastre. Its main role is public administration and professional supervision in the field of geodesy, cartography and cadastre.
In the field of geodesy and cartography it determines binding geodetic systems; it provides creation and operation of state permanent positioning service which uses Global Navigation Satellite Systems; it provides stabilisation and surveying of geodetic points of the state border; it creates and updates state map series, maps and other cartographic work; it standardizes geographical names; it provides creation, operation and provision of information from the information system of geodesy, cartography and cadastre as well as reference data for the National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
In the field of real estate cadastre it manages and controls cadastral departments of district offices; conducts inspection on the level of management and fulfilment of tasks related to real estate cadastre.
